Shaa is Joining Year of the Asian Reading Challenge! #YARC2019

Hello hello beautiful people! 🌷 After a very long break (seriously, I feel like it’s been a year I haven’t blog) I decided to come back and blog again. Hopefully, I will not be gone again. Fuh, here’s to hoping… 🤲🏼

So for this comeback, I am announcing my participation in the Year of the Asian Reading Challenge or YARC for short. 🎉 This reading challenge is host by CW from The Quiet Pond, Lily from Sprinkles of Dreams, Vicky from Vicky Who Reads and Shealea from Shut up Shealea. I know I’m late for this but if you guys think of participating, you can sign up here.

This is actually my first reading challenge, EVER. Apart from the Goodreads Reading Challenge obviously. I am actually nervous but excited too to join this because I’m afraid I’ll flake… I’m so bad at challenges, tell you. That’s why I’m only aiming for the Philippine Tarsier (1 to 10 books) even though deep inside me is hoping to reach the Indian Cobra but we will see… 👀yo5iek1

My reading goal this year is up to 10 books but I’ve been fighting my reading slump lately which I think is kind of working so I hope I can read more than 10 books! If I broke my reading goal this year, I promised I will treat myself something special at the end of the year. 🎁 You read that right, folks. *whispers* You guys are the witnesses.

I am also very excited to join this because I want to read more Asian books this year. With all the new releases and upcoming Asian books, I hope I can get a job sooner so I will be able to buy it. Along with supporting Asian authors. 😍✨

Anyways, I don’t have a tbr list of books I will read during this challenge because I know I won’t be able to get every single of the books. But, I do have a list of most anticipated Asian books on my invisible shelf. Be it backlist, already published, new releases or even upcoming releases!

  1. Oh my gosh this challenge looks so cute! I’ll definitely need to join in, big hype that Philippine tarsier is the first level, as I think that may be the only one I’ll reach this year with my reading slump. Good luck on your challenge!!

I hope you can join too. I was having a slump too when I first joined it but somehow it motivates me to read more 😅

Love this! I’ve been meaning to read more Asian books but for some reason, they’re pretty hard to find over here. Not sure why.
I love your recommendations at the bottom! 🙂
