Monthly Wrap-up: March Reads Following an Exhausting Month

Hello hello my friends! ๐Ÿ’ซ

How are you all doing? March seems longer but shorter at the same time for me. Maybe because Iโ€™ve been busy with work but also been waiting the time to pass..??? ๐Ÿ‘€ But anyway, weโ€™re in April now! How do you feel about it? โœจ

I havenโ€™t been able to read much since I was busy. Most of my readings are from the beginning of the month which was before I started the job. Yes, most of it I read in the two weeks of March. I wanted to talk about my job but then maybe not because thatโ€™s gonna take a whole post. What I can say is that, the featured image on this post is a hint of my job hehe ๐Ÿ˜

Everything related to the job are past tenses now because I just quit today… It was exhausting and I didn’t even have time for myself. I worked everyday until 10pm even on weekend. Once I got home, I surely just get to bed ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ And now, my feet bones are swollen. Gee I hope it will get better soon.

Okay well enough with that! Let’s get to what Iโ€™ve read in March! โœจ๐Ÿ’ซ

Wayward Stars by Mary Fan ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ.5

THIS is my most anticipated read this year (oh, Iโ€™ve said that million times already). I love this series and I think this is the first science fiction read that is my favorite! You can read my full review here!

The Weight of Our Sky by Hanna Alkaf ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ.5

Iโ€™m SO happy I finally get to read this book! Not just because itโ€™s from Malaysian author, but it is also about a heavy issue in our history. Iโ€™m glad I enjoyed the book. If you want to read this book, prepare your emotions and feelings! And oh, of course you can read my full review here!

Love, Hate and Other Filters by Samira Ahmed ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

I chose to read this book because everyone was hyping about it before so I thought maybe itโ€™s good but then… itโ€™s not. There are parts that I like but there are also parts that I donโ€™t, and disagree. Iโ€™m sorry to those who really love this book but Iโ€™m just not amazed by it. You can read my full review here so youโ€™ll know why I donโ€™t really like it!

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

I enjoyed reading this book so much! I havenโ€™t write a full review about this since I just finished it a few days ago and I was busy with work but Iโ€™ll surely do it soon! I already have it on my draft hehe ๐Ÿ˜† You can read my full review here!

Well, that’s it, friends! I didn’t read much like I wanted to. Even the last book took me a whole month to finished hahaha. But something just turned in another direction of life right now so I guess I’ll get to spend more time on reading and blogging.

How was your March? Did you get to read more books than the last month? ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿฅฐ

  1. Great post! March (and by extension, April) was really busy and tiring for me too, I barely read anything and the books I read lack the enjoyment :/ You’ve been reading some amazing titles and really enjoyed it too, I’m happy for you! I hope May will be a better month for you! โค

  2. I’m sorry to hear that the job has been tough, I’m glad you decided to do what’s best for you, going home too late and everything else and ugh, do what’s best! โค โค

  3. Your job has to do with restaurants??? I’m glad that you quit your job to have more time for yourself because getting home at 10PM is honestly crazy! O__O” You read so many wonderful books this month. I’m pretty excited to start The Weight of Our Sky (but also pretty nervous). I hope you have a wonderful April!!
